He is host of Rick Steves Europe and best-selling author. Using beautiful slides, he will share some of what he has discovered about politics in Europe, Central America, Asia and the Middle East and explain how we, as tourists, have the power to change the world one trip at a time.

Alexander is best known for his role as George Costanza in the hit television series Seinfeld. Other well-known movie credits include Pretty Woman and Shallow Hal. He has also had an active career on stage, winning a Tony Award as Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his role in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.

Bob Ballard
Best known for his 1985 discovery of the RMS Titanic, he has succeeded in tracking down numerous other shipwrecks including the German battleship Bismarck, the U.S. aircraft carrier Yorktown and John F. Kennedy’s boat, PT-109. He’s convinced that there is more history in the deep sea than all the museums in the world.

A Taliban gunman shot her in the head in 2012 for advocating education for girls. At age 17, she became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize in her fight for the right of every child to receive an education. She donated $50,000 of her prize money to rebuild a school in Garza that since had been burned down.

With the candor and charm that has helped her become a journalism icon, Stahl discusses her professional and personal life as one of the first female television reporters. First hired by CBS News in 1972, she entered an industry that was male-dominated, but she broke through and made a name for herself. With humorous and poignant anecdotes, Stahl talks about her covering the White House during the Carter, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush presidencies, and then about her years covering the world as co-editor of 60 Minutes. She comments of the news of the day, as well as some of the major stories she covered in the past, including Watergate, the Iranian hostage crisis, and every presidential election since 1972. She also talks about the state of the news business and the difficulties of working and raising children.
